Frequently Asked Questions
Do you make white gold or platinum rings?
For bespoke commissions, a wider range of precious metals is available. Custom designs can be crafted in **14k or 18k yellow gold, rose gold, palladium white gold, and platinum, depending on the design, intended aesthetic, and your personal preferences.
Where a commission includes traditional granulation, I will recommend 18k yellow gold, as it offers the finest balance of colour, craftsmanship and durability for this ancient technique. For other styles, I'm happy to discuss the material that best suits your vision during our initial consultation.
Can I choose my own diamond or gemstone?
Yes.
Every commission is individually specified, with guidance provided on diamond shape, size, colour, clarity and certification to suit the design and your priorities.
Can I use a natural or laboratory-grown diamond?
Yes.
Both natural and laboratory-grown diamonds are available for bespoke commissions. During our consultation, I'll explain the advantages of each and help you choose the option that best suits your priorities, budget and design.
Can you remodel an existing ring or use family gold?
In some cases, yes.
Existing jewellery can often become part of a new commission after assessing its condition and suitability.
How long does a commission take?
Most commissions are completed within four to six weeks, depending on complexity and current workshop schedule.
