Commission a Piece
Some rings begin with more than a design. They begin with a person, a milestone or a story worth carrying forward.
Work directly with Nathan to create a ring developed specifically for its future owner and individually hand-fabricated in solid 18k gold at the Rings by NK bench in Manila. It is not selected from a catalogue or passed through a production line; the same hands that develop the design make the finished piece.
Only a limited number of commissions are accepted each year.
Private Consultations
Private consultations are available by appointment in Makati, online, or at a convenient location within selected areas of Metro Manila.
You do not need to arrive with a finished design. A commission can begin with a gemstone, an idea, an existing piece, an inspiration image, or simply something you have not been able to find elsewhere.
We will discuss the person who will wear the piece, the occasion, your ideas, preferred materials and gemstones, approximate budget and required timing before developing the creative direction.
That's the first important addition. It tells someone you don't need to know what you want before contacting me.
How a Bespoke Commission Works
1. Initial Conversation
We begin with the person, the occasion and what you want the piece to become. You may already have a clear idea, or we can develop the direction together from a gemstone, reference, existing piece or starting concept.
2. Design and Quotation
I develop the design specifically for you, considering proportion, materials, gemstones, construction and how the piece will be worn. You receive the proposed design, gemstone options where applicable, a fixed quotation and anticipated completion period.
3. Approval and Deposit
Once the design, materials and specifications are agreed, the commission is confirmed through a written agreement and a 50% deposit.
4. Handmade at the Bench
Your piece is individually hand-fabricated at the Rings by NK bench in Manila. I form, construct, assemble, set and finish the piece by hand, using traditional techniques including granulation where the design calls for it. Progress photographs are shared at key stages of the build.
5. Completion and Handover
The remaining balance is due upon completion, before collection or delivery. Your piece is supplied with its written specifications and applicable gemstone documentation.
What Does a Commission Cost?
The cost of a commission depends on the design, finished gold weight, gemstone selection and complexity of the making process.
Simple handmade commissions generally begin from ₱60,000. Bridal and gemstone commissions commonly fall between ₱100,000 and ₱300,000, while complex one-of-one collector pieces may exceed this range.
A detailed quotation confirms the approved design, materials, gemstone specifications and anticipated completion period. A 50% deposit begins the commission, with the balance due upon completion and before collection or delivery.

Where a commission includes traditional granulation, I will recommend 18k yellow gold, as it offers the finest balance of colour, craftsmanship and durability for this ancient technique. For other styles, I'm happy to discuss the material that best suits your vision during our initial consultation.

Many Rings by NK rings can be resized, although the available adjustment depends on the design. Continuous diamond settings, uninterrupted granulation and certain patterned bands may have limited resizing capacity. This will be discussed before the commission is approved.

Because Rings by NK pieces are handmade and many are made to order, customized or individually sized, returns and exchanges are not accepted for change of mind.
Returns will only be considered where an item is confirmed to be defective. Please contact us promptly with your order details and clear photographs of the issue. The piece will be assessed, and an appropriate repair, replacement or refund will be arranged where applicable.
Damage caused by normal wear, accidental damage, improper care, incorrect sizing information, or alterations undertaken by another jeweller is not considered a manufacturing defect.
Bespoke commissions, personalized pieces, engraved items, custom sizes and specially sourced stones cannot be returned or exchanged unless they are defective.
