Private Commissions

A small number of private commissions are accepted each year.

Each ring is individually designed and hand-fabricated in 18k gold, combining architectural structure, rare gemstones, and traditional techniques such as granulation.

The process is personal and collaborative. Some clients arrive with a specific stone or occasion in mind; others begin with a conversation and develop the piece from first principles.

Every commission begins with a conversation.

The Process

1 — Initial conversation

Each commission begins with a discussion of the intended ring, preferred stones, and overall character of the piece. This may take place by email, video call, or in person in Manila.

2 — Design direction

Based on this, design studies are developed exploring form, structure, and stone options. These may include sketches or bench-made prototypes where required.

3 — Creation

Once the direction is agreed, the ring is hand-fabricated in 18k gold using traditional techniques. Each piece is built individually from raw material, rather than cast.

The making process typically takes 4–8 weeks, depending on complexity and gemstone sourcing.

4 — Completion

The finished ring is presented with full documentation of materials and craftsmanship.

Stones and Materials

Gemstones are selected for colour, character, and individuality.

Previous commissions have included sapphires, spinels, tsavorites, garnets, tourmalines, and Australian opals.

All pieces are hand-fabricated in solid 18k gold.

Commission Values

Collector rings typically begin from USD 4,500.

Final pricing depends on gemstone selection, scale, and complexity of fabrication.
